The family is the basic unit of our communities. Marriage is a sacred vow between one man and one woman that assumes faithfulness until death. Families and communities are built on this faithfulness and commitment – to God and to each other. We value modesty and sexual purity, and expect the same of our guests and children.

We know that it takes a whole village to raise a child, but parents carry the main responsibility for their children within each community. Each family lives in an apartment on community grounds and spends significant time together, especially on weekends. Families eat breakfast and several evening meals each week at home, and often invite other community members or neighbours to join in. In this way single people are naturally included in family gatherings.
